When you use UC Wrapped, we collect the following information:

• Account identifiers (such as email address or a third-party account identifier) used to sign you in and identify your account
• Academic data (GPA, transfer units, community college, schools applied to, majors, and decision outcomes) that you voluntarily submit
• Usage and interaction data collected automatically when you visit or use the site, including pages viewed, actions taken, session interaction patterns, and general device or browser context
• Security interaction data collected automatically as part of bot-protection measures when you access certain features

Some of this data is collected automatically as a necessary part of operating the service, even if you do not explicitly provide it.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session
• Store and display your transfer cycle and Wrapped output
• Generate aggregate, anonymized statistics shown on the site
• Understand user flows, measure site performance, and troubleshoot issues
• Protect the integrity of the service against automated or abusive access
• Improve the product

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. What We Share

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Your data is shared only with third-party service providers necessary to operate UC Wrapped, including providers of authentication, database storage, hosting, analytics, performance monitoring, and security services. To enable user-level product analytics, certain account and profile attributes may be associated with an analytics profile held by a third-party provider. These providers process your data solely to deliver their respective services and are subject to appropriate data protection obligations.

We do not grant any third party the right to use your personal data for their own independent purposes.

4. Your Academic Data

GPA, school choices, and decision outcomes are sensitive. A few things to know:

• This data is tied to your account and not publicly visible by default
• If you have a confirmed username, a public profile page is created at a URL associated with that username. This page may be discoverable or indexed by third parties
• When you generate and share your Wrapped, your public profile page and any content you have chosen to make visible become accessible to anyone with the link
• Aggregate statistics displayed on the site are anonymized and never attributed to individual users

5. Data Retention

Your account and associated data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time through the account settings page. You may also contact us at the address below with a deletion request.

6. Cookies and Sessions

UC Wrapped uses cookies and local browser storage for authentication, session management, and analytics purposes. A persistent identifier may be stored in your browser to associate your activity across visits.

We use third-party analytics services that record user sessions. These recordings may include on-screen content and form interactions visible during your session. Aggregated interaction patterns across the site are also collected. This data is used to diagnose issues and improve usability. It is not used for advertising.

7. Connected Applications

UC Wrapped may offer integrations that allow third-party applications to access certain account data on your behalf, subject to your authorization. If you authorize a third-party application, that application may access the data covered by the scopes you approve. You can review and revoke authorized applications at any time through your account settings. UC Wrapped is not responsible for the data practices of third-party applications.

8. Children's Privacy

UC Wrapped is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of UC Wrapped after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
